Warm up the bike, put it on the lift, or the sidestand on level ground.
With the sidestand down, remove the lower Dzus fittings and lower fairing. Note the towel underneath!
Remove side panel Dzus fittings (I do this Dzus last), and remove a panel.
Repeat for the other side, be careful and use both hands!
Stow the panels out of the way.

Note the sight window (RH side), with upper and lower marks.
MV's filter kit comes with filter, lock ring and screw, new drain plug washer, and rubber lock ring band.
Locate drain plug LH side, underneath.
Place drain pan underneath drain plug, crack loose with #10 Allen, carefully remove by hand.
Let gravity do the work, cheat the bike to the LH side for complete drain.

Clean the drain plug, and replace the drain plug washer.
Install rubber lock ring band with its raised lip flush with the new filter's edge.
Note existing lock ring's configuration and tab location.
Remove lock ring screw.
I use tin foil to make a path for the oil over the headers.

I use a filter strap wrench, the MV filter tool may be easier!
Remove the old lock ring, and crack the old filter loose. Make sure your oil pan is underneath!
Being CAREFUL of warm headers, remove the old filter by hand.
While the oil drains from both ends, check your sidestand bolts!
Check the fan blades for any meltage...Check around for other stuff, too.
